WESTFIELD, Mass. -- The MASCAC Football Play-of-the-Week highlights the top plays from each conference game of the weekend, and asks fans to vote on their favorite.
The nominees from Week 3 are embedded below. Watch each highlight, and vote for the play that you think is the MASCAC Football Play-of-the-Week on the MASCAC Twitter account (https://twitter.com/mascacsports)! Voting is open until Wednesday at 2 pm. The vote totals and the winning play will be announced Wednesday on the MASCAC website and social media sites.
Play No. 1 - Fitchburg State
Fitchburg State QB Connor Fitsimons drops back and launches a pass to the sideline just out of
reach of the defender to Jesse Brown who races down the line and high steps out of the defense's
grip for the 49 yard score.
Play No. 2 - Framingham State
After the pocket begins to collapse, Framingham State QB Adam Wojenski takes off, weaving
his way through defenders like a maze before avoiding one final tackle for the 22 yard touchdown
run in the Rams' victory.
Play No. 3 - Mass. Maritime
During the 47th Annual Admiral's Cup, Mass. Maritime QB Matt Long lobs a pass before he goes
down to Cam Witman who bounces off a defender before rolling off him into the endzone for the
22 yard score in the Buccaneers' win.
Play No. 4 - Western Conn. State
With pressure coming from the defense, Western Conn. State QB David James scampers then heaves
the ball into the endzone for Devon Smith who manages to get a foot down before falling out of bounds
for the 25 yard touchdown catch in the Colonials' victory.
