Worcester State's Miller Named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week
Andrew Miller, a freshman on the Worcester State University baseball team, has been named to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week in the designated hitter position.
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Andrew Miller (Naples, Fla.), a freshman on the Worcester State University baseball team, has been named to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week in the designated hitter position.
Miller was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Player and Rookie of the Week yesterday for his efforts last week.
Miller hit safely in each of Worcester State's seven games last week, with RBIs in six of seven. Miller hit three home runs, drove in nine runs, and scored six runs while batting .435 (10-for-23) with a slugging percentage of .913.
Miller is the second Lancer named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week, joining sophomore Kyle Gray (Braintree, Mass.) who received the honor as a relief pitcher on March 19.
Miller and the Lancers return to the diamond on Wednesday for a 3:30 p.m. first pitch at Clark University.
