Junior midfielder Grace Adams (Leominster, MA) led the Lancers with three shots(two on goal), while Plymouth's Athena Comeau recorded five. Worcester recorded a total of 11 shots(5 on goal), while Plymouth shot 12(9 on goal).
The Lancers only got on the board once eight minutes into the first period on a shot from Junior forward Zoe Athanasopoulos (Hopedale, MA), assisted by Senior defender Emily Saucier (Auburn, MA). Athanasopoulos now leads the Lancers with nine goals this season.
Lancer keepers Madison Ferrara (Somerset, MA) and Sam Gastonguay (Ashburnham, MA) split time in the net, with Ferrara saving two shots of five in the first two periods and Gastonguay recording three saves of four shots on goal.
Worcester State drops to 9-6(6-2, LEC) on the season, while Plymouth improves to 9-4(7-2, LEC).
The Blue & Gold are back home next Wednesday against Keene State in another LEC matchup, with passback scheduled for 7pm.
