Worcester wasted no time after winning the opening faceoff as senior forward Mikey Wilson (Alexandria, Virginia) fired it into Plymouth's net for the fastest goal scored this season, giving Worcester an early lead in the first period. It was all defense for Worcester for the majority of the period as Lancer keeper Jakob Kubik denied Plymouth of seventeen shots in the game's first 20 minutes. The Lancers would then extend their lead thirteen minutes in with a power play goal from senior Max Roth, with assistance from sophomore Brigham Neuhold (Edmond, OK) and graduate Nick Pennucci (Worcester, MA).

It wouldn't take long into the second period for Plymouth to get themselves on the board, as

Cameron Patton put one in to bring the score to 2-1 four minutes in, with assistance from Ethan Stuckless and Carson Lanceleve. The Panthers kept the majority of puck possession while Worcester's defense went to work. Patton later brought the Panthers even with the Lancers at two goals apiece with seconds to go into the second period. Plymouth finished the first forty minutes of play with 31 shots total in contrast to Worcester's 11.

Plymouth kept it rolling in the third period, with a goal from Connot Tait and two from Myles Abbate, including an empty netter, to bring the score to 5-2 as the clock winded down to zero.

In goal, Jakob Kubik recorded a total of 38 saves on 42 shots on net, while Plymouth's Brendahn Brawley saved twelve out of fourteen.

This brings the Lancers to an 8-8 (7-3, MASCAC) record, while Plymouth State goes to 13-3-1  (10-0, MASCAC).
