RECAP:

It took only a minute for the Goats to get on the board with a goal from Eliza Dutson. It wasn't the ideal start for the Lancers, but they fought to keep this one close throughout the night.

Lancer junior goaltender Madison Ferrara (Somerset, Mass.) kept the team in it as much as she could with five saves on eight shots by WPI. After the early goal from the Goats, the defense locked in and didn't allow another score until the third period.

In the 48', WPI's Abbey Powers found the back of the net to make it a 2-0 game. Four minutes later, her teammate Arie Lang joined her in the scoring department to make the game 3-0.

Sophomore midfielder Allison Keenan (Marlborough, Mass.) was shown yellow in the 52', an indicator of the Lancers will to battle it out all game.

Worcester State had four shots on the night, all from Grace Adams who leads the MASCAC in the category by a large amount.

The score may not have been in the Lancer's favor, but it was still a great showing from the defense and goaltending as they allowed only three goals off of 21 shots and 15 penalty corners to a team that's undefeated in their conference currently.

With the loss, the Lancers dropped to (4-5) (3-0) with WPI improving to (3-5) (2-0).

The next game for the Lancers will be a MASCAC matchup at home for a 3 p.m. start versus the Framingham State Rams.
