On Wednesday, October 21st, 2020 the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Football team officially welcomed 11-year old Charlie Orcutt to the Buccaneer family as he signed his Team Impact letter of intent on his Draft Day held at Clean Harbors Stadium. Charlie was joined on the field by his parents, Ken and Erin, his sister Samantha, Director of Athletics Mike Kelley, head football coach Jeremy Cameron, Members of the Team Impact Organization with Buccaneer student-athletes watching on from the stands.

The Framingham State men's ice hockey program signed 8- year old Robert "Robbie" Brassard of Natick, Mass. in partnership with Team IMPACT Friday afternoon on the FSU campus. Brassard signed a letter of intent to join the Rams ice hockey program and plans on joining the team during games, practices and other team events throughout the year.

Salem State women's soccer introduced Team Impact recruit Caroline Swearingen of Marblehead, Mass. on Tuesday, April 2. Caroline signed her letter of intent in a ceremony at Alumni Field during Salem State's softball doubleheader against Gordon College.

The Framingham State softball program signed 13 year old Lindsey Franco from Holliston, Mass. in partnership with Team IMPACT Friday afternoon on the FSU campus. Franco signed a letter of intent to join the Rams softball program and plans on joining the team during games, practices and other team events throughout the year.

The Massachusetts Maritime community welcomed two new and very special members of the Buccaneer women’s soccer team on Tuesday afternoon, as 11-year-old Nicolette and eight-year-old Christiana Silva of Mashpee were drafted in a special ceremony that took place inside the Clean Harbors Athletic Center. The Draft Day event was part of the Academy’s continuing partnership with Team IMPACT, a non-profit organization based in Quincy that partners with colleges and universities across the region to improve the quality of life for children facing adverse issues and events by establishing and expanding vibrant team-based support networks.

Fitchburg State University softball players and coaches officially welcomed the Johnston family during a Team IMPACT (Inspire, Motivate, Play Against Challenges Together) Draft Day on Thursday inside the Recreation Center as thirteen-year-old Emma Johnston signed a contract as softball's newest member.

The Bridgewater State University football team welcomed their newest and youngest teammate, 12-year-old Odin, at a special Signing Day event through Team Impact.

The Massachusetts Maritime men’s soccer team was out in full force last Saturday afternoon in support of “Team Thomas” at The MitoAction Energy Walk & 5K at DCR’s Mother’s Rest in South Boston, an event raises awareness about mitochondrial disease, which is an inherited chronic illness that can be present at birth or develop later in life and afflicts about 1 in every 4,000 people.

Salem State field hockey welcomed its newest member - seven-year old Jazzy from Salem, Mass. - in a team-signing event at the Gassett Fitness Center lobby on Tuesday, September 8th. Jazzy was recruited through a partnership with Team IMPACT, a non-profit organization based in Quincy, Massachusetts chartered to improve the quality of life for children facing life-threatening illnesses.

In many ways, Thomas Schmid of Marshfield is just like any other 9-year-old boy. He’s a Cub Scout. He’s excited about starting fourth grade. He takes golf lessons, and has a particular fondness for mini golf. And, of course, he loves playing video games.

Salem State women's basketball welcomed newest recruit, thirteen-year old Breana Wilcox, to the team on Thursday, July 24th, in a team-signing event held at the O'Keefe Complex. Breana, who is from Salem, will be entering the eighth grade at the Collins Middle School, and was recruited through a partnership with Team IMPACT, a non-profit organization based in Quincy, Massachusetts chartered to improve the quality of life for children facing life-threatening illnesses. Team IMPACT helps draft children onto local college athletic teams, which allows them to become an official member of the team for the duration of their treatment and beyond.
