Women's Lacrosse Defeated By Framingham State

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester State University women's lacrosse team suffered a 17-6 defeat to Framingham State University Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Coughlin Field.

With the loss, Worcester State drops to a record of 5-3. Framingham advances to 8-1.

The first half was all Rams, as the visitors outscored Worcester State by a score of 11-4. Sophomore Lily Gendron (Lakeville, Mass.), junior Abby Lauzon (Lakeville, Mass.), senior Kylie Hill (Lunenburg, Mass.), and sophomore Sarah DesVergnes (Limerick, Maine) scored the goals for the Lancers before the break. Tara Palermo had a first half hat trick to lead Framingham State.

Framingham State continued to control the play after halftime, outscoring the Lancers 6-2 to secure the victory. Worcester State received goals from Shea Jarvis (Auburn, Mass.) and Hannah Sledzieski (Northampton, Mass.) in the period, while Framingham State was led by a pair of tallies from Hanna McMahon.

Hannah Allen got the victory in goal for Framingham State, recording 12 saves. Chloe O'Brien (Sturbridge, Mass.) took the loss for the Lancers after getting the start. In relief, Savanna Rosado (Milford, Mass.) made seven saves in 44 minutes.
