Fitchburg, Mass.  – The Fitchburg State men's ice hockey team fell to the #13 Panthers of Plymouth State 3-2 in overtime in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action on Saturday afternoon at the Wallace Civic Center.

In a pre-game puck drop ceremony, the Falcons recognized local hockey player Jake Thibeault. Jake suffered an on-ice injury in 2021. Today was Hockey Day in the 'Burg, where all proceeds from a triple-header day of hockey will benefit The Thibeault Family Rehabilitation Trust.

The Green and Gold responded less than two minutes later when Bouthiette potted his second goal of the game to forge the Falcons ahead 2-1.
