Volleyball Downs Westfield

SPRINGFIELD, MA: Rivier women's volleyball picked up their second win of the day this afternoon after taking down Westfield State in non-conference action.

THE BASICS:

- Score: Rivier 3, Westfield 0: Sets (25-17, 25-12, 25-14)

- Records: Rivier (2-1), Westfield (1-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders found their grove offensively as they hit for an impressive .412 as a team. Lily Sills (Carlisle, MA) dominated on the attack, racking up 16 kills with just one error. She completed the match with a .750 kill percentage. Cadia Greene (N. Kingstown, RI) continued to be an offensive threat with another nine kills. Riv scored 19 points on service aces this afternoon, with eight of them coming from Sofia Pawlusik (Burnt Hills, NY). Avery Pollard (Ballston Lake, NY) reached 30 assists in this one to go along with her two kills and five aces.

- The Owls were led offensively by Ashley Crowley, who had six of her team's 18 kills. Allie Hill put in her best effort on the defensive side of the ball as she tallied 11 digs. Morgan Dority put together nine assists from the setter position.   

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
