
Worcester, MA- Worcester State wrapped up their trip to Puerto Rico today a meeting with Smith College.
A slow start would put the Lancers behind early as they coul only collect four goals to Smith's seven in the opening quarter. Worcester had assistance in those four goals by junior Abigail Vincent (Lakeville, MA) and senior Molly Witkowski (Greenville, NY) for two, with Witkowski assisting on one of Vincent's while sophomore Meghan Bowen (Westfield, MA) did the honors on the other.
In the second Smith would add five more while Worcester was only able to sneak in a further two this time both from senior Abbie Wing (Griswold, CT), with one assist added on for Witkowski. The third would see split action as both teams recorded two apiece with Wing again grabbing both goals this time with assists from sophomore Kerry Brown (Billerica, MA) and junior Shannon Donahue (Dennis, MA).
In the final quarter Smith again found their offense with three goals while Worcester would tap off the game with another two. One served up Witkowski to Wing and the other directed to Witkowski from Vincent.
Worcester is back in action on March 26th when they head down to Rhode Island to take on Johnson and Wales for a 7pm start.
