Amherst College volleyball, receiving votes in the national poll, blitzed Westfield State 3-0 on Tuesday night behind a powerful hitting attack.

The Mammoths posted game scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-11.  

Led by 13 kills from Jamie Dailey, Amherst posted 46 kills against just eight attack errors in the win.  The Mammoths improved to 8-1 on the season, while Westfield is now 3-14.

The Owls were led by six kills from Bridgette McAndrews and five from Shawna Crowley.

Westfield will next play in a non-conference tri match on Saturday at Worcester Polytechnic Institute with Gordon College.
