WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State University women's volleyball wrapped up the 2021 regular season with a decisive 3-0 win over Mass Maritime on Sunday in Buzzard's Bay, Mass.
The Owls finish the regular season 7-20 overall, but 6-1 in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Owls have clinched the number two seed in the upcoming MASCAC Tournament, and will host a semifinal round playoff game on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. against the winner of the #3 Framingham vs. #6 Salem quarterfinal game.
Today, the Owls rolled by set scores of 25-3, 25-9, 25-11.
Bridgette McAndrews led the Owls with 10 kills, with Ashley Crowley adding eight and Shawna Crowley seven. Julia Dangel-Garcia set 27 assists, and Jess Haradon led with 13 digs, with Ashley Crowley adding 11.
Mass Maritime finishes its season with a 1-20 overall mark and an 0-7 record in the MASCAC.
