With the win, Westfield advances to Saturday's championship game to play host Oneonta State at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Westfield led 38-37 at the half and gradually pulled away in the second half. The Owls shot a blistering 50% from three point range, finishing 14-28 on the afternoon.
Xavier Lewis scored 22 points and handed out six assists, and Lid Moreland added 19 points, including the 1000th point of his collegiate career at Monroe Community College and Westfield State.
James Dukes led MUW with 14 points.
Oneonta defeated Elmira College 80-51 in the other first round game.
