Robson turns away seven shots for Fitchburg State  

Wenham, Mass.. – The Fitchburg State men's soccer dropped a 6-0 decision to the Fighting Scots of Gordon College this evening in non-conference action from the Brigham Complex.

How It Happened

Gordon opened the scoring at the 15:43 mark of the first half as graduate student Chase Gwynn (Apoka, Fla.) deposited a shot inside the near post for his third tally on the year for the 1-0 advantage.

The Fighting Scots doubled their margin (2-0) in the 38th minute of action when Gwynn struck for his second goal of the contest. The visitors upped its lead roughly four minutes later with senior Roddy Ngolomingi (Kinshasa, Republic of Congo) collecting a feed from classmate Luckson Dambo (Belmont, Mass.) to make the score 3-0 going into the break.

Following the intermission, Gordon extended their lead at the 53:28 mark when Gwynn completed the hat trick, firing a shot into the upper left corner for his fourth goal of the 2021 campaign for the 4-0 advantage.

The Fighting Scots sealed the victory with 16 minutes remaining in the contest as junior Julius Swaim (Bedford, Mass.) threaded a pass to senior Ryan Modzelski (Cazenovia, N.Y.), who registered his first goal of the season, resulting in the 6-0 final.
