How It Happened

Worcester State grabbed the lead in the 15th minute of action when freshman Samantha Sharp (Peabody, MA) lofted a shot into the upper right corner for her first collegiate tally to make the score 1-0.

Fitchburg State knotted the score at 1-1 at the 19:53 mark as junior Kendra Peretzman (Randolph, MA) collected a rebound off the foot of sophomore Sophia Moore (Killingly, CT) and deposited a shot into the lower left corner for her second goal of the season.

The Lancers regained the lead five minutes later with junior Raelyn Callahan (Pepperell, MA) firing a shot inside the far post for her first marker of the 2023 campaign for the 2-1 margin going into the break.

Following the intermission, the Green and Gold retied the contest (2-2) just ten seconds into the frame as newcomer Noelle Kennedy (Walpole, MA) blasted a shot into the back of the net for her second score on the year.
