Bridgewater, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's lacrosse team fell 22-2 to the Bears of Bridgewater State on Saturday afternoon at Swenson Field.

How It Happened

Senior midfielder Emily Hiller (Marion, Mass.) scored a game-high eight goals, including the 100th of her career

Thirteen different Bears scored in the game led by Hiller's eight tallies. Brennan, Carroll, Marshall, Tynan, Lindsay Brown (East Longmeadow, Mass.), Hayley Carron (Hopedale, Mass.), Lily Carson (Medford, Mass.), Savannah Herrington (Kinnelon, N.J.), Kristen MacDonald (Hull, Mass.), Katie O'Brien (Pembroke, Mass.), Katie Swart (Bridgewater, Mass.) and Katherine Wrona (Belchertown, Mass.) also found the back of the net for Bridgewater State with Herrington and O'Brien each notching a pair. MacDonald and Marshall both recorded their first collegiate goals, while Tynan scored for the first time this season.

Francesca Reyes (Malden, Mass.) made 11 saves in goal for the Falcons.

Nicole Kopacz (Tewksbury, Mass.) and Eva Kozikowski (Portsmouth, N.H.) scored for Fitchburg State. Kopacz led all players with seven draw controls. Brooke Williams (South Dennis, Mass.) added an assist for the Green and Gold.

Bridgewater finished with a 40-5 shot advantage for the game as well as a 31-8 edge in ground balls. The Bears also converted on 7 of 13 free position attempts.

Up Next: The Falcons wrap up the 2021 season next Friday afternoon when they travel to Mass. Maritime Academy for a five o'clock game with the Buccaneers.
