Women's Soccer Bested by Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, MA: Fitchburg State women's soccer was defeated in conference action this evening by Bridgewater State University.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/22/23

- Score: Bridgewater 2, Fitchburg 0

- Records: Bridgewater (3-3, 2-0 MASCAC), Fitchburg (2-5-1, 1-1 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  After a scoreless first half, the Bears found the back of the net to go up 1-0 on a Sydney Dewhurst score in the 58^th minute. This marked her third goal of the season, and was assisted by Makenna Lessard.  

- Bridgewater would keep the Falcons scoreless for the remainder of the contest by holding them to just five shots. The Bears would add one more in the last minute of the contest. Olivia Robarge netted her second of the season after receiving a pass from teammate Sydney Sousa.

- Logan Levesque got the win in net for Bridgewater, saving all three shots she faced. She improves to 3-3 on the season. Cassandra Pendleton (Ware, MA) gets her first start in net of her career with the Falcons and suffered the loss (0-1-1) after making six saves on seven shots faced.
