WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State University battled Stockton State (NJ) to a 0-0 draw on day two of the Cougar Classic Tournament at Kean University in Union, N.J. on Saturday.
Westfield is now 1-0-1 on the season while Stockton is 0-1-1.
The game was evenly matched throughout, with Stockton holding a slight 12-10 advantage in total shots, while Westfield had a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
Junior goalkeeper Lauryn Davis (Templeton, Mass.) made four saves in goal for the Owls in 65 minutes of play, while first-year Sarah Fuller (Weymouth, Mass.) had one save in 45 minutes in net.
