Monks Sweep Non-Conference Tri-Match

WORCESTER, Mass. – Saint Joseph's College (4-7) swept a non-conference women's volleyball tri-match at Worcester State University on Saturday afternoon. The Monks opened with a 3-2 (25-18, 15-25, 25-23, 18-25, 15-13) triumph over Framingham State University and capped the day with a 3-1 (16-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-18) victory over the host Lancers.

LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:

  • Sophomore Maggie Sylvester (Barrington, N.H.) registered a double-double with 16 kills and 16 digs
  • Freshman Victoria Briones (El Paso, Texas) also notched a double-double with 10 kills and 25 digs
  • Junior Sam Holland (Gilmanton, N.H.) delivered a match-high 27 digs
  • Senior Isabel Philbrick (Milford, N.H.) posted eight kills and five digs
  • Freshman Nadia Sixto (Chattanooga, Tenn.) added seven kills and five digs
  • Senior Hanna Holden (Stoughton, Mass.) recorded four kills, 35 assists, and seven digs

LEADERS – FRAMINGHAM STATE:

  • Hailey Sanders dealt 12 digs on 34 attempts
  • Isabel Henwood delivered 28 assists and 12 digs
  • Malia Shields chipped in with four service aces and 23 digs
  • Emily Flaherty added 19 digs
