Worcester, MA – The Curry Women's Hockey team fell to Worcester State on Friday by a score of 2-1. With the loss, the Colonels are now 5-11-1 on the season, while the Lancers are 9-5-1.

The first period saw no goals scored, and only 11 stoppages, with multiple long periods of play without a whistle. But the Lancers would strike first, scoring twice late in the second period.

The Colonels would get one goal back with two minutes left in the game, an Ali Olorenshaw power play goal, assisted by Anna Kahl. But the Colonels were unable to find the game tying goal.

In a continuing trend of the season, the Colonels were able to outshoot (53-34) and win more faceoffs (30-25) than their opponent.

Hannah Garrett-Howard made 32 saves on 34 shots in net.
