
MILTON, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 14-2 by Bridgewater State University in a non-conference collegiate baseball game Thursday afternoon at Jack Vallely Stadium.
With the loss, the Colonels drop to an overall record of 5-8 on the season.
After going down by six in the top of the first inning, the Colonels got two back in the bottom of the inning. George Calderon reached on a leadoff single, setting up Tommy Marshall, who launched a home run over the right field fence to cut the deficit to 6-2. Calderon finished the game going 2-for-3 with a pair of singles.
Reegan Thomas started on the mound for the Colonels and was assigned the loss, falling to a record of 1-1 on the season.
Curry College opens Conference of New England play with a doubleheader against Gordon tomorrow, March 28th, beginning at 1 p.m.
