- PAXTON, MASS: The Anna Maria Volleyball team fell in both non-conference matches this Saturday against Becker College and Mass Maritime in the Fuller Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED: MATCH ONE vs. Maritime
- Maritime's Hannah Tarbox (Attleboro, MA) lead the team in kills with a game high of 12. She was able to exploit the middle of the court finding the open space.
- Freshmen AMCAT Bella Kozciak (Westfield, MA) showed off her jumping ability with 9 kills of her own.
- The Buccaneers setter Michelle Sheehan (Attleboro, MA) racked up the assists falling just shy of 30 with 26 for a game high.
- For Anna Maria Julia Ramos (Orange, MA) tallied 20 assists throughout the contest.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Maritime had 38 kills compared to the AMC 26.
- The Bucs also lead in the assist category with 33 compared to AMCAT 24.
- Anna Maria accumulated more blocks on the day with 4 compared to MMA's 0.
HOW IT HAPPENED: MATCH TWO Vs. Becker
- The Hawks attack was well balanced throughout the team with Sofia Cullina (Deep River CT) finding herself at the top of the list with 10 kills.
- Jenna Savoie (Charlton, MA) lead the Becker squad in assists with 22.
- Kozciak left off from where she started the day for the "Cats by being their biggest offensive weapon, as she finished with 12 kills good enough for a game high.
- Ramos also added to her totals with a game high 25 assists.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Becker ended the game with just one kill more than the AMCAT with 32 to 31.
- The two teams tied with 30 assists apiece.
- The Hawks out nudged Anna Maria in the blocks category 6 to 2.

- Anna Maria returns to action on September 10th at home in the Fuller Center at 7:00 PM. They will be taking on non-conference opponent Bay Path.
