HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk jumped out to an 11-2 margin on a pair of buckets from Gabriella DeComo and a trey by Jenni-Rose DiCecco. The Rams continued to build on their early advantage that sat at 22-4 at the end of the first 10 minutes.

The second stanza saw the Falcons attempt a comeback and pull within 17, but DiCecco jump started a 6-1 Suffolk stretch that ended the quarter to send the blue-and-gold into the break with 34-12 lead.

DeComo continued where the Rams left off at the end of the second with the first hoop of the third, which was quickly followed by DiCecco's milestone momentum. The junior floor general, who ended the first 20 minutes two points shy of the grand marker, converted a steal into a fast-break layup, which sealed her spot in the Rams' 1,000-point club. Alexis Hackett buried a bucket from behind-the-arc to cap off a quarter-opening 7-0 Rams' run that pushed the visitors ahead 41-12 at the 5:46 minute mark.

The teams went hoop-for-hoop over the final five minutes of the third frame and Suffolk remained ahead 48-20 after 30 minutes.

Fitchburg State began the final frame on an 8-3 stretch, but it was no match for the Rams, who finished the outing with seven unanswered points for the 63-30 win.
