Men’s Soccer Cruises Past MCLA in MASCAC Play

North Adams, Mass. The Framingham State men's soccer jumped out to an early lead and wouldn't look back as they defeated MCLA by a score of 4-1 in MASCAC action Friday evening in North Adams. 

THE BASICS: 

- Score: Framingham State 4, MCLA 1 

- Records:Framingham State (8-3-1, 4-0 MASCAC), MCLA (4-7-1, 1-2-1 MASCAC) 

- Location: Shrewcraft Field – North Adams, Mass. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The Rams scored just 27 ticks into the game as Bryce Nardizzi set up Gustav Hemmingsen to find the open net and go up 1-0.  

  • Framingham pushed their lead in the 13thminute when Jeffson Malachie found the back of the goal with a setup from Kunphel Sinha. A few minutes later Malachie scored again to put the Rams up 3-0.  

  • The Rams' Joshua Monteiro scored in the 72nd minute to extend their lead. 

  • The Trailblazers scored in the final moments when Marcos Lopez converted a penalty kick to reach the final margin.  

  • The Rams outshot MCLA by a margin of 32-to-4 including a 17-to-1 clip in the first half.  

  • Sam Edge made ten saves in net for the Trailblazers. Jake Hartshorn collected one save in the win for the Rams.  

UP NEXT: 

The Rams will travel to Trinity College on Tuesday October 11th for non-conference action at 7pm.
