Men’s Basketball Holds on to 70-65 Win Over Bridgewater State

• The Rams took a double-digit lead on a Marshall Martin trey just about six minutes into the game and would stretch their lead to as many as 18 with just over seven minutes in the first on a Tevin Charles lay in.  

• The Bears called timeout with about five minutes to go in the first and would chip away at the Framingham lead heading to the break trailing 13. The Rams received 14 first half points from Juran Ligonde. 

• After holding the Rams to just eight points through the first ten minutes of the second half the Bears took their first lead of the game after a Peyton Priest triple (54-53) with 9:33 to play.  

• Marshall Martin scored the next eight points for the Rams during an 8-2 run to lead 64-56. Bryan Thompson would hit one from long range with 1:59 to go to push the Rams lead back to 10.  

• The Bears would chip back into the deficit over the final two minutes but wouldn't come closer than five.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

• Marshall Martin scored a game-high 20 points with eight boards and three helpers while Ligonde finished with 18 points and ten boards for the double-double. JD Okafor added 12 points.  

• Justin Parsons led the Bears with 15 points, three boards and a swipe while Dante Kikuba added 12 points, four boards, two assists and two steals.  

• The Rams held the advantage in field goal percentage 40% to 31% and from long range 27% to 19%. Both teams also struggled from the line with the Rams shooting 58% to the 53% for the Bears.  

• The Bears were able to turn the Rams 19 turnovers into 23 points.
