Framingham, MA – Bridgewater State's men's soccer team continued their unbeaten MASCAC start, defeating Framingham State 5-1 on Saturday afternoon.  

THE BASICS: 

  • Score: Bridgewater State 5, Framingham State 1 

  • Records: Bridgewater State (6-3-2, 4-0-0), Framingham State (0-9-2, 0-4-0) 

  • Location: Framingham, MA 

 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Bridgewater State opened the scoring at 22:54 when Filippo Mucci found the back of the net with an assist from Gavin Norton. 

  • Ethan Mallett doubled the lead at 30:19, assisted by Nicholas Ribeiro. 

  • Just before halftime, Dominek Borden scored unassisted at 40:49, restoring a two-goal cushion for Bridgewater State. 

  • Bridgewater State continued to apply pressure, with Gavin Norton adding another goal at 53:07, assisted by Nicolas Matias. 

  • The final goal came at 77:06, when Nicolas Matias scored from a Carsten Boloz assist, sealing a commanding 5-1 victory. 

 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Shots: Bridgewater State fired 26 total shots, 16 of them on goal, while Framingham State managed 11 shots with 5 on target. 

  • Saves: Framingham State goalkeeper Michael Walker made 11 saves despite conceding 5 goals, while Bridgewater State's Lukas Ekmanis made 4 saves. 

  • Corner Kicks: Both teams earned 4 corner kicks.
