Men’s Ice Hockey Blanked by Anna Maria in MASCAC Clash

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – The Anna Maria men's ice hockey team secured a 2-0 victory over Framingham State in MASCAC action on Saturday night at Loring Arena. 

THE BASICS: 

  • Final Score: Anna Maria 2, Framingham State 0 

  • Records: Anna Maria (13-5-0, 9-2-0), Framingham State (1-15-2, 0-10-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

1st Period: 

  • Both teams played a tightly contested first period with no goals. Anna Maria managed 12 shots on goal, while Framingham State registered 10. 

2nd Period: 

  • The defensive battle continued as neither team was able to break through. Anna Maria outshot Framingham State 15-7 in the period but couldn't capitalize. 

3rd Period: 

  • Anna Maria finally broke the deadlock at 5:07 when Samson Mouland scored off a feed from Justin Taylor. 

  • With just 3.2 seconds left in regulation, Matthew Gilbert sealed the win with an unassisted empty-net goal.
