Women's Soccer Blanked by at Nichols

Dudley, Mass.- The Nichols College women's soccer team defeated Framingham State 7-0 Monday afternoon at the NC Soccer Field in Dudley, Massachusetts.

THE BASICS:

- Score: Nichols College 7, Framingham State 0

- Records: Framingham State (2-6-1), Nichols College (9-2)

Location: Nichols Soccer Field – Dudley, Mass.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Bison opened up the scoring in the 14th minute with a goal from sophomore Amalia Sessoms, her third of the season. Graduate student Meghan Dunn picked up her third assist on the goal.
  • Five minutes later the Rams got called for a penalty and Dunn was able to notch the penalty kick to give the Bison the 2-0 lead.
  • Late in the first half sophomore Damiana D'Agostino capitalized on a mistake by the Rams goalie and scored her first goal of the season to send the Bison into the break with a 3-0 lead.
  • The Bison added four more goals in the second half courtesy of junior Abby Bassett and freshman Amanda Simco, Niah Samboy, Bassett added two goals herself.

The Rams return to action on Saturday, October 5th when they travel to Worcester State for a MASCAC matchup.
