Men's Hockey Falls To Fitchburg State In The Third Period

HIGHLIGHTS
- The AMCATS started the game out with a penalty three minutes into the first period to give Fitchburg State a power play opportunity. Anna Maria Goaltender Aidan Richardson was met with a number of scoring opportunities from the Falcons but stood tall.
- Richardson faced 15 shots in the first period and did not allow a goal until 14:20 into the period.
- The Falcons were met at the start of the second period with a quick goal from Anna Maria freshman Bryden Sinclair who was assisted by senior Michael Padgeon. The goal came 21 seconds into the second period.
- Neither team would find the back of the net for the rest of the second period. Richardson stopping 18 shots to keep the game at 1-1.
- In the third period, Fitchburg scored in the first six minutes, one minute into a too-many-men penalty on the AMCATS.
- The AMCATS gave up two quick goals from the Falcons 11 seconds apart from each other at the 10-minute mark of the third period.
- Despite being down by three goals, the AMCATS battled hard to mount a come back but could not find the back of the net.
- Richardson oosted 42 saves on 46 shots for the AMCATS.
- Falcons goaltender Matthew Radder held the AMCATS to one goal while recording 45 saves on 46 shots.
