WESTFIELD, Mass. – Mount Holyoke sophomore Diane Lee stole a pass in the second overtime and split a pair of Owls defenders to net the game-winning goal with 3:49 left in a 2-1 win over Westfield State in a marathon field hockey battle on Thursday night.

Mount Holyoke anwered 10 minutes later when first-year MJ Owens (Fairfield, Conn.) knocked home a feed from Lee, for Owens' first career goal and Lee's first assist.

From there the two teams played to stalemate for the next two quarters and an overtime.

Westfield survived 13 penalty corners from the Lyons, including three straight late in regulation.

Olivia Labrie made 13 saves for Westfield, which was outshot 24-19 and had a 13-2 disadvantage in penalty corners in the game.

Senior Rachel Katzenberg (Reisterstown, Md.) made nine saves for the Lyons, including three in the first overtime to force the extra session and set up Lee's game-winner. Westfield started the first overtime down two players for the first minute after both had received cards late in regulation.
