Women’s Basketball Cruises to 70-53 Victory over Worcester State – Paschal Earns 400th Career Victory

Worcester, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's basketball team secured a 70-53 victory over Worcester State University this afternoon in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Brissette Gymnasium.  The victory was the 400th career coaching victory for Rams head coach Walter Paschal.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams victory over the Lancers is 12th year head coach Walter Paschal's 400thcareer coaching win. Paschal previously won 200 games as the head coach of fellow MASCAC institution Fitchburg State and now has 200 career victories on the bench for the Rams. 

  • The Rams were led by 16 points, four rebounds, an assist and three steals from first year Jacqueline Schels. 

  • Abigail Martin chipped in with 13 points on 4-of-7 from the floor and added six rebounds, three assists and four steals, while Chloe Rayko connected on 4-of-8 from behind the arc for 12 points. 

  • Faith Greene added 10 points and six rebounds, while Katherine Haselton just missed a double-double as she scored nine points with a team-best 10 rebounds.
