Green Tallies Nine Goals as Women's Lacrosse Defeats Eastern Connecticut 22-5

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team received a school record nine goals from Leah Green as the Rams defeated Eastern Connecticut 22-5 in non-conference action this afternoon at Maple Street.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • Green finished the game with nine goals and an assist for 10 points. With her nine goals, Green establishes a new FSU single game mark surpassing the old mark of eight which was held by four Rams, the most recent was Rachel Erickson in 2023. 

  • Hannah Guerin finished the night with four goals and five assists, while Erickson finished with three goals and three assists. 

  • Regan Fein chipped two markers and two assists, while Molly Lanier added a pair of goals.   

  • Bella DiMare earned her 10th victory in net this season making seven saves. 

  • The Rams got on the board with three goals in a minute midway through the first quarter. Green struck for back-to-back goals at 7:58 and 7:47 before Brandi Core found the back of the net. 

  • Green added her third of the period, before the Warriors got on the board with 4:47 to play in the first. The two teams traded goals to end the period and the Rams led 6-3 after one. 

  • In the second, the Rams scored three straight including two from Erickson to lead 9-3. Eastern closed the gap to 10-5 before the Rams closed the half with a 5-0 run to lead 15-5 at the break. 

  • The Rams maintained the large lead throughout the second half adding five goals in the third and two in the fourth to reach the final margin.
