Women's Lacrosse Closes Florida Swing with Loss to Endicott

Panama City Beach, Fla. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team closed their spring break trip falling to Endicott College 15-6 this evening in non-conference action at The Spring Fling. 

THE BASICS: 

-Scores:  Endicott 15, Framingham State 6 

-Records: Framingham State (2-4), Endicott (3-3) 

- Location: Publix Sports Park Panama City Beach, Fla.    

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • Endicott held an advantage in shots for the game, but the Rams held a slim 13-12 edge in draw controls for the game. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • Endicott grabbed a 2-0 lead before Lanier got the Rams on the board with just under ten on the clock in the first. The Gulls pushed the lead back to two goals before Lanier's second of the game closed the gap to 3-2 with 5:14 on the clock. Endicott closed the opening frame, tallying a pair of goals to lead 5-2 after one. 

  • In the second, the Gulls started the period with a 4-0 run taking a 9-2 lead. The Rams closed the period with Lanier's third of the game and a marker from Lye to trail 9-4 at the half. 

  • Endicott scored the only two goals of the third quarter extending the lead to 11-4. The Gulls added four more in the final quarter and the Rams received goals from Hailey Baker and Madeline Bosma to reach the final margin.
