Women’s Lacrosse Sails to 21-4 Victory over Salem State

Salem, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team jumped out to a 5-2 lead after one and never looked back as the Rams defeated Salem State 21-4 this afternoon Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Alumni Field.

-Records: Framingham State (6-4, 2-0 MASCAC), Salem State (8-3, 0-1 MASCAC)

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams were led by seven goals and two assists from Molly Lanier. Lanier added seven draw controls in the game. 

  • Isabella DiMare earned the victory in net making six saves in 30 minutes of action, while Allison Wurms made one save in her half of action. 

  • The Rams held a 13-7 edge in ground balls for the game and a 37-17 advantage in shots. 

  • Salem led 1-0 three minutes into the game before the Rams rattled off five straight including three from Lanier to take control of the game.
