Ice Hockey Closes Season at Stonehill

Bridgewater, Mass. The Framingham State men's ice hockey was defeated by Stonehill College by a score of 6-2 to close the 2022-23 season.  

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • The Rams jumped out to an early lead when Johnny Baker connected 21 seconds into the game after a setup from Ashton Collazo.  

  • Stonehill answered five minutes later when Frank Ireland gto the hosts on the board.  

  • The Skyhawks took the lead near the end of the first on a Frank Ireland power play goal and built a 3-1 lead early in the second on a Brendan Nehmer tally.  

  • Cameron Linsday cut the Rams deficit to one late in the second before a three goal third period for Stonehill reached the final margin.  

  • John Day made 25 saves in the win for Stonehill and Liam Kilgallen made 29 saves for the Rams.  

  • Framingham was 0-for-6 on the powerplay while Stonehill was 2-for-7.
