Women’s Ice Hockey Blanked by Rivier

NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier women's ice hockey team secured a 3-0 victory over Framingham State in MASCAC conference action on Friday night at Conway Arena. 

THE BASICS: 

  • Final Score: Rivier 3, Framingham State 0 

  • Records: Rivier (11-8-1, 8-2-1), Framingham State (0-19-0, 0-12-0) 

  • Location: Conway Arena – Nashua, N.H. 

 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

1st Period: 

  • Rivier opened the scoring at 11:08 when Paige Anger found the back of the net off assists from Rebecca McKelvey and Jessica Driscoll. 

2nd Period: 

  • The Raiders extended their lead at 14:00 as Tia Picardi buried a shot with helpers from Paige Anger and Keegan McGaheran. 

 3rd Period: 

  • Rivier sealed the victory with a power-play goal at 3:18, as Breezy Parent converted off passes from Paige Anger and Molly Dukesherer. 

KEY PERFORMERS: 

Rivier: 

  • Paige Anger: 1 goal, 2 assists 

  • Tia Picardi: 1 goal 

  •  Breezy Parent: 1 goal 

  •  Rachel Symmes: 21-save shutout 

Framingham State: 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Rivier outshot Framingham State 47-21. 

  •  Rivier went 1-for-5 on the power play, while Framingham State was 0-for-2. 

  •  The teams combined for eight penalties, totaling 16 minutes. 

  •  The shutout victory marked Rivier's fourth of the season.
