Men's Basketball falls at Lyndon State in season opener

Lyndon, VT- The Lyndon State Men's basketball team came out firing on all cylinders as they cruised past the MCLA Trailblazers 92-60 in the season opener for both teams.  The Hornets placed four players in double figures and received 56 points off the bench in the win.

Darnay Gray led all scorers with 20 points on 6-9 shooting.  Corey Frost added 15 points including a trio of three pointers.  Kendrick Mills and Raymond Monroe each had 11 points for the Hornets.

MCLA was paced by Nolan Bird's 14 points and Joe Wiggins added 12 for the Trailblazers.  

Lyndon took all the excitement out of this one early jumping out 14-4 and never looking back.  They would eventually lead 49-23 at halftime and were never threatened in the second half.

MCLA shot just 33% from the field and committed 19 turnovers in defeat.

The Trailblazers are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Coast Guard for a tournament.
