Trailblazer Men fall 3-1 at Bridgewater State

Bridgewater, MA- The MCLA Men's Soccer team traveled to Bridgewater State this afternoon and fell to the host Bears 3-1.  The Trailblazers are now 4-8-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the MASCAC.  Bridgewater State improves to 7-7-2 overall and 3-1-2 in the conference.

Bridgewater controlled much of the play as they held a commanding 15-3 shot advantage, including 9-0 over the final 45 minutes.

The Bears jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the opening half scoring in the 19th and 34th minute.  Colin Neri scored when his shot caromed off the post and into the net for a 1-0 lead.  Craig Shadduck would be the beneficiary of a penalty kick in the 34th minute to provide the 2-0 cushion.

MCLA would tally just before halftime when Lucas Prickett converted from just inside the 18 after a cross from Dylan Pereira.  The goal seemed to turn momentum, however after halftime the Trailblazers couldn't muster up any offense against the Bear defense.

Matt Bagley didn't have to record a save in earning the win for Bridgewater.  Matt Robinson started and absorbed the loss stopping three shots for MCLA.

The Trailblazers are back in action at Shewcraft Field on Tuesday when they host Sage College.
