THE LEAD – Lesley hosted Fitchburg State for a non-conference matchup this past weekend.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons led Lesley for the first five minutes of the match, when a free throw from Paige Stowers tied the game 8-8 giving Lesley the chance to take the lead. The first quarter ended with Lesley ahead 19-16.
- Lesley continued to lead Fitchburg until a three pointer from Rylie Harlow tied the game up 27-27 in the last two minutes of the second quarter. Followed two minutes later by another three-pointer this time from Aliza Som, to tie the game 35-35 with 30 seconds left.
- The two teams continued neck and neck for the entirety of the third quarter, Paige Stowers making a game tying free throw for the Lynx six minutes in. Fitchburg quickly regained their lead and the quarter ended with Lesley trailing by a single point.
- Fitchburg returned to the court and quickly gained a seven-point lead on the Lynx. After a series of fouls Fitchburg clinched the win 78-63.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Savannah Gravitt made 6 three-pointers for the Lynx, recording 20 points, 6 rebounds and a steal on the match.
- Saniyyah Phillips recorded 14 points for the Lynx, 7 rebounds, and five steals.

The Lynx are back on the court Wednesday, November 15th with a home matchup against Elms College.
