Framingham State’s Thomas Named 2019 MASCAC Volleyball Player of the Year, Headlines 2019 MASCAC Volleyball All-Conference Team
Brandee Thomas of Framingham State has been voted as the 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Year and headlines the All-Conference team which is selected by the eight coaches from around the conference.

Westfield, Mass. — Brandee Thomas of Framingham State has been voted as the 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Year and headlines the All-Conference team which is selected by the eight coaches from around the conference.
Thomas, a sophomore outside hitter from N. Kingstown, R.I., can now add MASCAC Player of the Year to her resume after earning Rookie of the Year honors last season. This year, she helped the Rams to a 6-1 clip in the MASCAC and the second seed in the tournament. She closed out the year first in the league in total kills (304), kills per set (3.42) and total attacks (904). She also collected a .210 hitting percentage, 127 digs, 14 service aces and 17 total blocks. In the win over Becker, she registered 14 kills and 12 digs to lead the Rams in the win.
Kelly Moczulski of MCLA earns the 2019 MASCAC Rookie of the Year honors. The freshman outside hitter from New River, Arizona had a stellar first year for the Trailblazers. She ended the regular season in the top two of several categories, including total kills (289), kills per set (3.04), service aces (61) and total attacks (877). She also finished with 286 digs and 15 total blocks. In the five-set win over New England College, she had 13 kills and 22 digs with two service aces.
Fred Glanville of Westfield State was voted by his peers as the 2019 Champion’s Choice Volleyball Coach of the Year after leading the Owls to a perfect 7-0 mark in league action and the top seed in the tournament.
Joining Thomas and Moczulski on the All-Conference First Team are Sydney Rice of Bridgewater State, Alyssa Cafarelli of Framingham State and Ally Rega, Brianna Starkey and Lizzie Taylor of Westfield State.
Earning a spot on the MASCAC Second Team All-Conference are Casey Holmes of Bridgewater State, Hailey Sanders of Framingham State, Reagan Scatergood, Tessa Sestito and Natasha Stewart of MCLA, Ashley Crowley of Westfield State and Natalie Gillis of Worcester State.
