MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Report 3/3
William Canty of Westfield State and Exondus Barnes of Bridgewater State take home the MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field weekly honors after competing at the DIII New England Champs over the weekend. Awards brought to you by GEICO.

Canty set a school-record in the heptathlon, scoring 4955 points as he placed second at the Division III New England Championships to earn All-New England honors. Won the shot put with a toss of 12.32m (40’ 05.00”) and placed second in the pole vault, clearing 4.05m (13’ 03.50”), the 60 hurdles in 8.56 seconds, the 1000 meter run in 2:51.98 and the 60 dash in 7.15 seconds. Finished fifth in the long jump (6.40m/21’0”) and seventh in the high jump (1.77m/5’ 9.75”). Currently ninth nationally in the heptathlon and third in New England. |

Barnes earned All-New England honors and set a new school record in the high jump at the Division III New England Championships. Placed seventh in the event with a leap of 1.97m (6’ 5.5”). Bested his own mark of 1.95m set earlier this season and equaled by teammate Andrew Chen. Currently ranks 12th in New England in the high jump. |
