A total of 906 student-athletes have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s 2023 Winter/Spring All-Academic Team that was released earlier today by Commissioner Angela Baumann.

Anna Maria and Rivier to Join MASCAC Men's Ice Hockey in 2024-25
The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Council of Presidents and Commissioner Angela Baumann are pleased to announce that Anna Maria College and Rivier University will be joining the MASCAC as affiliate members.

Salem State's O'Neill Announces Retirement
Salem State men's ice hockey head coach William "Bill" O'Neill announced his retirement after a distinguished 42-year career leading the Salem State men's ice hockey program. O'Neill amassed a 626-436-76 (.583) record during his tenure, completing his career ranked 2nd all-time in total victories in Division III. He is just one of 15 NCAA coaches all-time, across all divisions to reach 600 career wins.

Worcester State's Max Roth Named 2023 MASCAC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year
After completing his collegiate career at Worcester State, Max Roth of the Lancers men's ice hockey team is the 2023 MASCAC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year which is voted on by the eight Athletics Directors around the conference.

Plymouth State's Abbate Named AHCA All-American, Joe Concannon Award Winner
Plymouth State senior Myles Abbate has been named American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) First Team All-American and the winner of the 22nd Joe Concannon Award, presented annually to the best American-born college hockey player in New England at the Division II/III level by the Gridiron Club of Great Boston.

Westfield State Maintains Lead in 2022-23 Howard C. Smith Cup Standings
Following the completion of the winter sports season, Westfield State maintains their advantage in the 2022-23 Howard C. Smith Cup standings. The Smith Cup is awarded annually to the member institution which compiles the most points based on the placement of each of its programs competing in the league championship sports.

#8 Plymouth State Falls to UNE in NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament
Senior goaltender Brendahn Brawley made 23 saves but #10 University of New England broke a scoreless tie at the 7:38 mark of the third and an empty net tally in the final seconds gave the Nor'easters a 2-0 win over #8 Plymouth State University in the first round of the NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Tournament at Hanaway Rink on Saturday night.
