Framingham State to Face Wesley in the Opening Round of the 2019 NCAA Football Tournament
After receiving the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference's (MASCAC) automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Football Championship Tournament, the 2019 MASCAC Champion Framingham State Rams will be facing Wesley College in Dover, Delaware in a first round game on Saturday, November 23rd.
Framingham, Mass. – After receiving the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference's (MASCAC) automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Football Championship Tournament, the 2019 MASCAC Champion Framingham State Rams will be facing Wesley College in Dover, Delaware in a first round game on Saturday, November 23rd.
The Rams will be making their fifth overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament and their second straight.
Framingham State finished the 2019 regular season 8-2 overall and a perfect 8-0 in MASCAC action with the key victory of the season coming in week ten when the Rams defeated Bridgewater State 40-20 to secure their second straight outright league title.
The 2019 Rams led MASCAC in points (346), points per game (34.6), touchdowns (51), rushing yards (1728), rush yards per game (172.8), fewest yards allowed per game 274.8), interceptions (14), and fewest rushing yards allowed per game (90.5).
This will be the second meeting between Framingham State and Wesley as they previously met in the NCAA Tournament in 2015.
