Lancers Fall to Wildcats in Pink Out Game

Worcester, MA- In what has become a traditional game for the Worcester State Lacrosse team (5-3, 0-0), the Lancers would take on the Johnson & Wales Wildcats (3-3, 2-0) in a rain ridden game that would look to have Worcester begin their return to New England by extending their win streak to two. Today’s game was also played in support of the Rosen Cancer Awareness Fund created by Gregg '86 and Pam '87 Rosen, aims to provide a robust curriculum that supports peer to peer education regarding early cancer detection. Raising Awareness in our young people, particularly Worcester State students in the field of public health, can effectively expedite these important educational initiatives to curb the prevalence of late-stage cancer and increase longevity.

Baseball and Softball Games Scheduled for Thursday and Friday, March 28th and 29th, Rescheduled

Worcester, MA- Due to the expected weather over the end of the week the Worcester State Softball and Baseball games scheduled for this Thursday and Friday have been rescheduled. Thursday’s single header game, initially scheduled for Thursday, March 28th, has been moved to Monday, April 1st, at 3pm. The baseball and softball double headers initially scheduled for Friday, March 29th, have been rescheduled to Saturday, March 29th, for 12 and 2pm at Worcester State.

Koziol Goes Grand as Lancers Show their Power in Sweep of Cougars

Worcester, MA- For the first time since the 2019 season the Worcester State Softball (5-6, 0-0) would take on the Clark University Cougars (4-6, 0-0) in an out of conference matchup. Due to field conditions both teams moved themselves to WPI’s rooftop field for the contest as Worcester looked to jump above .500. The last time the Lancers faced the Cougars, each team managed to grab a win on the match up.

Lancers Drop Late Inning Battle with Blue Jays

Worcester, MA - The Saint Joseph Blue Jays (6-7-1, 1-0) hosted the Worcester State Lancers (1-9,0-0) in their fifteenth game of the new season. In a tough matchup, the Lancers look to end their five game losing streak as the Blue Jays hope to continue their hot streak, winning four of their last five games. Worcester is returning to New England action after a week in Florida for Spring Break action.

Worcester, MA- After a 5-6 week kicking off their 2024 season for the Worcester State Softball team, the Lancers had senior Emily Bartlett (Lowell, MA) named the MASCAC Pitcher of the Week after her strikeout performances on the week.

Lancers Drop Rain Delayed Finale in Florida to Panthers

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Baseball team (1-8, 0-0) faced SUNY-Purchase (5-6, 0-0) on their last day and SUNY’s first in Florida, a mirror situation to the Lancers first day when they squared up with Roger Williams on their last day in Florida. Worcester would look to brush off the late inning loss to Amherst yesterday and carry a second win out of Florida.

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Baseball team (1-6, 0-0) was looking to come away with some big wins against fellow Massachusetts school Amherst College (5-2, 0-0) in their second to last game of their Spring Break games in Florida.

Lancers Bring the Heat, Make Clean Sweep of Three Game Day

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Softball team (2-6, 0-0) faced the rare triple header today. With weather expected to move in on Friday Worcester took the preemptive measure of moving one of their games to a Thursday night showdown after an already scheduled doubleheader day. Worcester State would start their day versus Knox (2-7, 0-0), before facing off with Keuka College (0-6, 0-0) before switching fields and taking on the Bates Bobcats (2-4, 0-0) in a late night showdown under the lights.

Lancers Fall in Single Game Set to Oles

Worcester, MA- After grabbing their first win of the season versus Elmhurst yesterday afternoon, the Worcester State Baseball team (1-5, 0-0) would go for nine innings in a single game meet up with St. Olaf College (5-6, 0-0). The Lancers are aiming to grab the first win needed to end the trip at .500 before returning to their New England slate of games for the season.
