Men’s Basketball Downs Bridgewater State In Season Opener, 89-71

BOSTON, Mass. – The Endicott men's basketball team defeated Bridgewater State University, 89-71, on Friday night in the Emmanuel College Tip-Off.

Endicott had four student-athletes score in double-figures to come away with the victory.

Billy Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.) guided the group with a game-high (tied) 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field (3-5 3PT, 1-1 FT). The Gulls also saw Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) pour in 14 points, Cameron Ray (Lowell, Mass.) notch 13 points, and Dillon Grant (Dennis, Mass.) round out the squad with 11.

Endicott led the contest by as many as 24 points with 10:27 to play in the second half and never trailed by more than one point the entire way against the Bears (0-2).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Tonight's game only featured one tied score and two lead changes.
  • Grant finished the contest with a career-high four blocks.
  • Endicott is 4-1 in its last five season openers.

Endicott (1-0) takes on Framingham State tomorrow in its second game of the Emmanuel College Tip-Off at 8 PM.
