Kozikowski nets first two collegiate tallies for Fitchburg State

How It Happened

Regis grabbed a quick 1-0 edge on a goal from senior Kerri Anselmo (Natick, Mass.) before Fitchburg State knotted the score (1-1) as senior Nicole Kopacz (Tewksbury, Mass.) netted her second tally on the season.

The Pride struck for four straight marker (5-1) with Anselmo, freshman Amelia Thomas (Hopkinton, N.H.), junior Jordyn Ringuette (Colchester, Conn.) and junior Rachel Nadeau (Coventry, Conn.) found the back of the net.

The Falcons cut the deficit to 8-5 going into the break as freshman Eva Kozikowski (Portsmouth, N.H.) netted her first two collegiate tallies, while classmate Brooke Johnson (Billerica, Mass.) and junior Madison Alves (Braintree, Mass.) added goals for the Green and Gold.

Following the intermission, Regis extended their lead (12-5) with Ringuette, Nadeau and Anselmo picking up goals before Fitchburg State answered back with markers by freshman Gabrielle Scibilia (Haverhill, Mass.), sophomore Julia Miele (South Hadley, Mass.) and senior Tracy Long (Georgetown, Mass.) to make the score 12-8.

That's as close as the Falcons would get though as the Pride closed out the contest on an 8-0 run, led by Anselmo and Ringuette with two goals each, while Nadeau capped the scoring for the visitors, resulting in the 20-8 final.
