Westfield State Leads in 2022-23 Smith Cup Standings
Westfield State has the slight lead after the fall season in the Howard C. Smith Cup standings. The Smith Cup is awarded annually to the member institution which compiles the most points based on the placement of each of its programs competing in the league championship sports.

Anna Szymanski of Framingham State and Camryn Burgio of Worcester State take the 2022 MASCAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors. The duo headlines the 2022 All-Conference team which is selected by the eight coaches from around the conference.

A fantastic Westfield State volleyball season came to a close on Thursday afternoon, as the Owls fell to national #8 New York University in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament, falling 25-8, 25-18, and 25-17 at the Silloway Gymnasium at Wesleyan University.

Led by 11 kills from junior middle blocker Julia Bartiet (Cheshire, Conn.), Westfield State University women's volleyball won the 2022 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference championship game 3-1 over Worcester State University at the Woodward Center on Saturday afternoon.
