MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Report 4/18
Alison McDonough of Bridgewater State, Ephemian Bailey of Fitchburg State and Eliza Lee of Westfield State earn the MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field weekly honors after competing at the Silfen Invite and Jerry Gravel Invite, respectively.

McDonough captured top honors in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.51 seconds and placed third in the 100-meter dash with a collegiate-best time of 12.32 seconds this past weekend at the Silfen Invitational. Recorded qualifying times for the Division III New England Championships and NEICAAA Championships in both events. Currently ranks second in the East Region in the 100. Finished fifth in the long jump this past weekend at the Silfen Invitational with a season-best leap of 5.18m. Currently ranks seventh in the East Region in the event. |

Bailey finished fourth overall in the discus with a DIII New England qualifying and personal best toss of 38.61 meters, while adding a PR and DIII NE qualifying mark of 11.51 meters in the shot put. Concluded the day, placing 33rd overall in the hammer throw with PR toss of 24.18 meters for the Falcons at the 2023 Silfen Invitational on Saturday. With her toss in discus, Bailey set a new school record, surpassing the previous mark of 36.88 meters, held by Karen Duggan (1984). |

Lee posted strong contributions to the Owls overall score after compiling three second-place finishes on the day. She earned second-place distances in the long jump (5.04m) and the triple jump (10.74m) field events before tacking on another second-place finish in the 400m by crossing the tape in 1:02.43 as part of the Owls first-place finish at the Jerry Gravel Classic. |
