MCLA Receives Silver Ethics, Team Academic Awards From NSCAA
The MCLA women's soccer team received a Silver Ethics Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for its on-field performance during the 2012 season, and the Trailblazers were also recognized for their excellence in the classroom in receiving a 2011-12 NSCAA Team Academic Award

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's
Soccer program has recieved the National Soccer Coaches Association
of America (NSCAA) Silver Award for Ethics. The honor marks the
fourth straight season in which the Trailblazers' program has
recieved an ethics award.
The NSCAA awards Gold, Silver, and Bronze honors. The Gold
award is presented to those institutions that recieve zero cards
throughout their season. The Silver award is presented to
those institutions that recieve no red cards and less than five
yellow cards. A Bronze award is presented to schools that
recieve no more than 10 cards.
The Trailblazers are one of 48 programs, both male and female, to
earn the silver award. MCLA has been the recipient of such
awards in 10 of the last 11 seasons, including the gold award a
year ago. 74 programs in all were honored.
2011-12 MCLA Women's Soccer earns Team Award from NSCAA
North Adams, MA- The MCLA Trailblazer 2011-2012 Women's Soccer
team has been named a recipient of the NSCAA Team Academic Award.
The award is given to programs whose cumulative GPA is a 3.0
or higher. MCLA earned the distinction by posting a 3.14
GPA.
The award is handed out through all divisions of the NCAA and is
given to both Men's and Women's programs. In 2011-2012, there
were 729 collegiate soccer programs honored (224 Men's teams, 503
Women's Teams).
