Framingham State Nabs Top Seed in 2024 MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament
After winning the regular season title in overtime on Saturday, Framingham State nabbed the top seed in the 2024 MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament which begins on Tuesday, April 30 with the quarterfinal contests.

Up first on Tuesday, #4 Bridgewater State hosts #5 Fitchburg State at 4 pm while #3 Worcester State will face #6 Salem State at 6 pm. The lowest remaining seed will take on top seed Framingham State on Thursday, May 2 at 7 pm while the highest remaining seed will play #2 Westfield State also at 7.
The two semifinal winners will then meet on Saturday, May 4 at the highest remaining seed to determine the MASCAC Tournament Champion and the conference's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Tournament.
Finishing the season with a perfect 6-0 record, the Rams are led by Hannah Guerin who closed out the regular season atop the conference in several categories, including total points with 109, goals with 64 and assists at 45. She was 21-of-35 on free position shots while also collecting 14 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.
Earning the other first round bye with the second seed, the Owls were 5-1 in league play. In between the pipes, Kara Banagan ended the regular season first with a 49.4 save percentage while allowing the least goals with only 83 over 13 games played. She also tallied a 10.70 goals against average with 81 saves on the year.
Worcester State grabbed quarterfinal hosting duties with the third seed. The Lancers were 3-3 during the conference slate with Shea Jarvis leading the way with a team-best 42 goals and 16 assists for 58 points. She also finished with 48 draw controls, 21 ground balls and eight caused turnovers at the conclusion of the regular season.
With the final quarterfinal hosting spot, Bridgewater State landed in the fourth seed with a 3-3 MASCAC mark. Camryn Gonsalves collected the second-most points this season with 73 on 46 goals and 27 assists. She led the league with 92 shots on goal and 126 shots while also picking up 15 ground balls and causing 13 turnovers.
Rounding out the 2024 tournament field is Fitchburg State and Salem State with the fifth and sixth seed. The Falcons are led by Nicole Orlowski who netted 55 goals and assisted on 17 others for 72 points during the regular season. She also was 11-for-16 on free position goals with 38 draw controls, 24 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. In her first season with the Vikings, Nora Bradley finished the regular season first in the league with 154 saves and third in save percentage at 43.8 percent. She also had 14.56 GAA over 14 games played.
During the 2023 tournament championship, top seed Westfield State defeated third seed Framingham State 21-15 to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
